Brixton: 17 Months
Brixton is 17 months.
That just sounds so BIG, because just yesterday he was this big. Guys, he's finally getting around to walking. I don't know what happened in the last few days, but his confidence has been building and today he's been walking a lot. Looks like he'll actually be able to participate in the Halloween kid parade this year.
Although he says a lot of words, he is reluctant to talk much these days. His favorite words are teddy, daddy, ball, and balloon. He loves to call every man in his path "daddy" which is kind of funny and awkward all at once. The men always look at me and I tell them it's not an accusation, just a bit of confusion.
He's totally toddler, in that he hits, pulls hair, screams, bangs his head on the floor, and throws when he's upset/happy. He was bit tonight at the park by another little boy who is also apparently learning to communicate. Brixton's face squished up and the lip got going well before the sound showed up. Kind of like when a jet flies by and then the sound comes a few seconds later.
He eats in spurts, cuddles a lot with mama, loves books, shoes, dogs, cats, and cries when I put the ice-cream back in the freezer. (I do, too).
Nothing says "fall" quite like a leaf in your mouth.
Apparently Brendan taught him how to use the slide. I had no idea and then he just went. Great. One less thing on my list.
